Our tour leader will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for a journey to Fayoum, Our first stop will be at the Kom Aushim Museum, where you can find guides for all the attractions in Fayoum. The museum showcases relics dating from the Prehistoric to Roman epochs, and you can see a painting of Fayoum.
Next, we'll visit Karanis, also known as The Lord's Town, which is one of the largest Greco-Roman cities in Fayoum. It was originally settled in the 3rd century BCE by the mercenaries of Ptolemy the Second's army, and you can find two temples in the city.
After that, we'll move on to Hawara (Arsinoiton polis), which was established during Amenemhet III's construction of the Pyramid Complex in the 11th Dynasty. Then, we'll head to Lake Qarun, named after the King who was buried there with all his wealth and treasures. We'll also provide lunch on the lake.
At the end of the tour, we'll visit the Waterfall and the 673-kilometer-long, 42-meter-deep valley known as Wadi El Rayan. In 1966, this depression was converted into a water reservoir when it was connected to Qarun Lake via underground pipes.
We'll spend the night in a hotel in Fayoum and visit the village of Tunis to tour the pottery art school before concluding our tour.
